The Promise of Baptism

And these words which I command you today shall be in your heart; you shall teach them to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, when you walk by the way, when you lie down, and when you rise up.

Behold, children are a heritage from the Lord,
The fruit of the womb is His reward.

He shall give His angels charge over you, to keep you in all your ways.

I will sprinkle clean water on you, and you shall be clean....
I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you....
I will put My Spirit within you and cause you to walk in My statutes, and you will keep My judgments and do them.

Teach me Your way, O Lord;
I will walk in Your truth....

"I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance, but He who is coming after me is mightier than I, whose sandals I am not worthy to carry. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire."

"He who believes and is baptized will be saved."

"They shall see His face, and His name shall be on their foreheads."

"I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God. That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit."

Then they brought young children to Him, that He might touch them.... And He took them up in His arms, put His hands on them, and blessed them.

"Take heed that you do not despise one of these little ones, for I say to you that in heaven their angels always see the face of My Father who is in heaven."

"Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you."
