Walk in all the ways which the Lord your God has commanded you. (Deuteronomy 5:33)

For thousands of years the Ten Commandments have been an inspiration to both religiously and civically-minded people. In the New Church these Divine Laws bring even greater fulfillment as the Heavenly Doctrine uncovers an internal, spiritual thread to each of them that shows in detail how to love the Lord and our neighbor. For example, the commandment "you shall not murder" forbids natural, physical murder, but also spiritual murder, such as hating another person. If we strive to keep the commandments on all levels, we can help bring peace into the lives of those around us and draw closer and closer to our Heavenly Father.

With this issue of New Church Vineyard Magazine, we invite you to explore the Ten Commandments and ways to apply them to your life.
