The Lord is our Heavenly Father...

Is the Introductory Level of the new Jacob’s Ladder series. This level is patterned on the Religion Curriculum for Kindergarten (ages 5-6), but older and some younger children may also find the material interesting and instructive.

Thirty-six lessons give a panoramic view of the Lord’s Word, Genesis-Revelation. Also included are special sections on heaven, Thanksgiving, Christmas, Easter & New Church Day.

Each lesson includes a page for parents, with background information, a lesson overview, and concepts on why these stories have eternal importance in our children’s lives.

The children’s lesson is in storybook format, with color pictures and suggested questions to promote your child’s active involvement with the story.

Swedenborg PresentationJacob's Ladder Level One
The Office of Education is excited to bring you a new program for today's families as part of a renewal of religious education in the home. The Jacob's Ladder Religion Lessons pick up where the Early Childhood Program (see previous pages) leaves off, at the start of school age. This program is based on the Religion curriculum used in the General Church Elementary Schools.
Our hope is that this program's multi-sensory approach can help you teach your children in the light of the Lord's threefold Word. Three levels are currently available, and others are in development. We would be happy to help you select the appropriate program for your children.

This level (equivalent to grade one) teaches about the Lord as our Creator and Provider, looking at His miracles and the angels and how they help us. Each lesson has wonderful illustrations, creative activities, and two parent pages. Two audio CDs of songs and stories foster affection for the Lord and His Word. A recitation book has beautiful stickers that can be placed when a chosen verse has been memorized. JL-101 $50.00
